Shocking before-and-after morphing picture of destruction in Beirut (PIC)

That’s the Hezbollah stronghold in southern Beirut. It was a private neighborhood, surrounded by a wall with gates guarded by Hezbollah operatives armed with assault rifles and grenade launchers. Within, there were some massive arsenals of rockets and missiles.

Nobody could gain access excpet the top cadre of Hezbollah operatives. Certainly not the Lebanese government. It was a small state within a state, a top-secret military base within a city that was aiming to become a major tourist attraction in the Middle East.

The top levels of Hezbollah leadership are rumoured to be hiding in bunkers deep beneath that place.

It’s quite amazing that despite all this destruction – keep in mind, this is only one stronghold bombed, there are several others like it in Tyre alone – the civilian death toll is so low. Which won’t keep certain people from claiming that “the IDF is targeting civilians intentionally”. It’s pretty obvious that without the prior warning leaflets, calls and SMS messages asking the civilians there to evactuate, there would be far more casualties in Beirut alone.
